HISTORY

Oliver Queen was once a billionaire playboy who was the CEO of a major corporation that rivaled Wayne Corp. But on a cruise, Oliver got drunk and fell over the side of the boat, washing ashore on a deserted island. Or so he thought it was deserted. He met one other refugee, Nicholas Kotero, who turned out to be a mass murderer. Kotero would end up being a thorn in the side of Green Arrow, right up to the time when Connor would take up the mantle. Needless to say, Oliver developed his archery skills on the island, and after making a raft, sailed to another island which he discovered was a massive marijuana operation. Thwarting the pot growers, he forced them to sail back to the main land where he slipped away unnoticed. The newspapers picked up on his efforts to bring in the drug operators, and dubbed him Green Arrow, a modern day Robin Hood. The rest is history.

Oliver Queen and Katar Hol have a history about them. Oliver was considered a left wing male chauvenist pig while Katar was considered a right wing male chauvenist pig. The two always had differing opinions and argued constantly. And they always seemed to be teamed up together on missions in the JLA and often would team up together, just as many times as Green Arrow and Batman would team up. However, the retcon of Hawkman "erased" that history with the release of Hawkworld. It ended up becoming Carter Hall who would be the constant advesary of Oliver's.
